Action Global Communications
Action Global is a Cyprus-headquartered independent network founded in 1971, with a substantial MENA presence run out of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha. The UAE operation runs around forty staff and has built a steady book in sport, hospitality, tourism, education and government — the categories where regional brands invest most consistently in earned media.
The firm picked up PR Week's Best Agency Middle East at the 2024 Global Awards and has been visible on long-running sports accounts — Globe Soccer, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships — alongside the recent appointment as lead agency for the 2025 Games of the Future. The hospitality bench took Joe & The Juice back as a client following the brand's UAE expansion to twenty-seven outlets, and Sarood Hospitality reappointed the firm on corporate communications.
The commercial trajectory in 2024 was the headline. Action added thirty-plus new clients including the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Al-Ghurair Group, grew revenue twenty-six percent year on year, and lifted pre-tax profit forty-five percent. The PRCA MENA Awards added three category wins on top of the PR Week regional title.
Camilla d'Abo took over the UAE managing director role in September 2025, joining Group CEO Chris Christodoulou, MENA MD Euan Megson and the wider regional leadership team that includes Barry King (UAE/Saudi) and Eliana Maakaroun (Qatar). The independent posture — and the Cyprus parent — gives the firm freedom from holding-company conflicts that constrains the WPP, Omnicom and IPG benches.
